Since my poster copy featured music, I felt that it was only fitting to feature a graphic designer who also worked with the music industry. Enter Peter Saville.
He is an English art director and graphic designer that really made name for himself through his numerous designs for Factory Records.
Mush of his work during the 80's featured his refined take on Modernism, and given the...80's flair allowed him to design covers for some big names of that time, like Wham!, Duran Duran, and Peter Gabriel. Who paid him more to design the cover of "So" that any other record sleeve in his career at 20,000 pounds. He even was even portrayed in a movie, and his rather amazing talent to miss deadlines is also portrayed in a more comical manner.
After Factory Record he worked for an ad agency for a little while in Los Angeles, but soon returned to England and began a company called The Apartment. More recently his works have been featured in fashion as his designs from his time with the Factory have seen a resurgence with younger designers.
Nice find, Jeffrey.
